We take no responsibility for and make no representations about, the quality of the goods, services, or information provided to you by any of the solar installers that we refer to you after you submit your details via our ‘Get Quotes’ form. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any injury, loss, or damage that you may suffer, directly or indirectly, as a result of using the goods, services, or information provided by such solar installers irrespective of how that injury, loss, or damage is caused (including where it is caused by negligence).

Limitation of Liability

Your Solar Quotes does not participate in any way in the transactions between our users. The material displayed on our website is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy. To the full extent permitted by law, we, hereby expressly exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms, which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity. Any liability for any loss whatsoever, including indirect or consequential loss or damage suffered by you arising from services we have supplied.

Finance information and referrals

Your Solar Quotes may help you connect with a finance partner for residential or commercial solar, battery and related projects. In relation to finance, we act as a referral service. We do not provide credit, credit assistance, credit advice or personal financial advice, and we do not assess your eligibility, suitability or capacity for any credit product.

Finance information on our website is general only. It does not take into account your personal circumstances, objectives, financial situation or needs. It is not a recommendation to apply for a particular loan, an offer to provide credit, or a guarantee of finance approval, interest rates, fees or repayment terms. Consider your own circumstances, read the relevant lender information and credit guide, and obtain independent professional advice where appropriate.

Our finance partner is a credit licensee or authorised credit representative under an Australian Credit Licence. It is identified in our Privacy Policy and Commercial Disclosure. The credit licensee is responsible for any subsequent communications, credit assistance or finance services it provides, in accordance with its own credit guide, privacy policy and applicable terms. Any credit contract is between you and the relevant credit provider, not Your Solar Quotes.

Requesting a finance referral

Our quote form asks whether you would like to explore solar finance options. If you select that option, a consent statement is shown next to the submit button. By submitting the form with that option selected:

  • You consent to Your Solar Quotes disclosing your enquiry details to the credit licensee, as described in our Privacy Policy and Commercial Disclosure.
  • You acknowledge that, in order to keep our service free for customers, Your Solar Quotes may receive a referral fee from the credit licensee, paid out of the commission the credit licensee receives from the lender, only if a referred loan settles. Your Solar Quotes does not charge you for the referral.
  • You acknowledge that the credit licensee, not Your Solar Quotes, is responsible for any subsequent communications, advice or credit assistance.
  • You confirm that the information you have provided is accurate and that you are authorised to provide it.

You can request solar quotes without selecting the finance option, and you are under no obligation to proceed with any finance application. You can approach a lender directly or use a different broker at any time. Loan interest, lender fees and any broker fees separately disclosed by the credit licensee may still apply, and you should confirm these before proceeding.

You may withdraw finance referral consent by contacting admin@yoursolarquotes.com.au. Withdrawal does not undo a referral already made. If the credit licensee already holds your information, contact it directly about further contact and its handling of your information.

Our Commercial Disclosure explains our referral role, who we work with, how we are paid, potential conflicts of interest and complaints contacts. Complaints about Your Solar Quotes should be sent to admin@yoursolarquotes.com.au. Complaints about credit assistance, finance applications or the credit licensee's conduct should be directed to the credit licensee using the contact details in our Commercial Disclosure.

Installer Reviews

You acknowledge that installer ratings, reviews and opinions expressed by reviewers on yoursolarquotes.com.au are the opinions of the reviewers alone and do not reflect the views or opinions of Your Solar Quotes. We take no responsibility for, and make no representations about, the validity, accuracy or completeness of these installer ratings or reviews, and we do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any errors, omissions, injury, loss, or damage that you may suffer, directly or indirectly, as a result of this information’s display or use. We reserve the right to delete or edit any reviews that Your Solar Quotes, in its sole discretion, deem to be offensive, defamatory, threatening, or are otherwise unacceptable.
