Your Solar Quotes Commercial Disclosure

This page explains how Your Solar Quotes makes money, who we work with, and what you should know before requesting quotes or an optional finance referral. Read it together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Your Solar Quotes is operated by Your Solar Quotes Pty Ltd (ABN: 23 167 727 406), trading as Total Quote.

What Your Solar Quotes does

We help homeowners and businesses request quotes from solar, battery and related service providers. Our quote comparison service is free for customers. Participating installers pay us for quote enquiries.

We also offer an optional introduction to our finance partner, Fundd. In relation to finance, we act as a referrer. We do not provide credit, credit assistance, credit advice or personal financial advice. We do not assess your eligibility, suitability or capacity for a loan, approve finance, or recommend a particular credit product for your circumstances.

Any finance information on our website is general only and does not take your personal circumstances into account. Confirm any interest rate, fees, eligibility criteria and loan terms with Fundd or the relevant lender before proceeding.

How you request a finance referral

Our quote form asks whether you would like to explore solar finance options. Answering yes is how you tell us you want a finance referral. When you select that option, a consent statement appears next to the submit button explaining that, by submitting, you consent to us passing your details to our finance partner, who may pay Your Solar Quotes a referral fee, and that Your Solar Quotes charges you nothing. Submitting the form with that option selected is your consent to the referral.

If you do not select the finance option, we do not refer your details to Fundd. You do not have to request finance to receive solar quotes.

Who your finance enquiry goes to

When you request a finance referral, we may pass your name, email address, phone number and the purpose of your finance enquiry to:

Fundd can contact you to discuss finance for your project. Fundd is responsible for its own communications, credit assistance and finance services, in accordance with its credit guide, privacy policy and applicable terms. The relevant lender is responsible for any lending decision and credit contract.

You are under no obligation to proceed with any finance application or use Fundd's services. You can approach a lender directly or use a different broker at any time.

How the finance referral is paid

Your Solar Quotes is paid a referral fee only if your enquiry leads to a loan that settles. The fee is paid by Fundd out of the commission it receives, not charged to you by Your Solar Quotes. If no referred loan settles, Your Solar Quotes is not paid a finance referral fee.

We do not charge you for requesting solar quotes or for the finance referral. Loan interest, lender fees and any broker fees separately disclosed by Fundd may still apply. Confirm the full cost of finance before proceeding.

Conflicts of interest

Being paid when a referred loan settles gives us a financial incentive to offer finance referrals. We manage this conflict by clearly disclosing the commercial relationship, making finance referrals optional, and leaving credit assistance, suitability assessments and lending decisions to Fundd and the relevant lender.

We do not recommend a particular finance product or lender for an individual customer. You remain free to use another broker or lender and to decline finance altogether.

Your information and consent

Your quote enquiry is handled under our Privacy Policy. Requesting finance is optional. Submitting a solar quote request without selecting the finance option does not authorise a finance referral to Fundd.

We only make a finance referral when you select the finance option on our quote form and submit the form with the consent statement shown next to the submit button. That consent covers the limited information sharing described above and Fundd contacting you about finance for your project.

Fundd then handles your information under its own privacy policy. You can obtain Fundd's current credit guide directly from Fundd.

You can withdraw finance referral consent at any time by contacting admin@yoursolarquotes.com.au. We will stop any future referral based on that consent, but withdrawal does not undo a disclosure already made. If Fundd already holds your details, contact Fundd directly about further contact or its handling of your information.

Complaints

For complaints about Your Solar Quotes, contact admin@yoursolarquotes.com.au. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable period.

For complaints about credit assistance, finance applications, credit advice or Fundd's conduct, contact Fundd directly. For eligible unresolved finance complaints, you can also contact the Australian Financial Complaints Authority.

Privacy complaints about Your Solar Quotes can be raised with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you are dissatisfied with our response. Information about consumer rights and complaints is available from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

Changes to this disclosure

We may update this Commercial Disclosure from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new updated date.
