Your Solar Quotes Pty Ltd (“Your Solar Quotes”, “we”, “us”, “our”) (ABN: 23 167 727 406), trading as Total Quote, is committed to preserving the privacy of all visitors and users of yoursolarquotes.com.au. Please read the following privacy policy to understand how we use and protect the information that you provide to us. For the purpose of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the data controller is Your Solar Quotes.
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit our website or use our services.
Finance referrals are optional. Submitting a solar quote request without selecting the finance option does not authorise us to refer your details to Fundd. We only make a finance referral when you select the finance option on our quote form and give the consent described below.
Information that we collect from you
Your Solar Quotes collects personal information through the customer quotation request form on our website at yoursolarquotes.com.au. This personal information is collected by Your Solar Quotes to enable us to provide you with the products and services described on our website and to assist us to improve our products and services. We may also collect information about your usage of our website as well as information about you from any correspondence you send to us.
We do not require bank account details, credit reports or identity documents to request solar quotes or a finance introduction. Fundd may request further information directly under its own privacy policy when assisting you with finance.
Use of your information
Your information will enable us to provide you with the products and services described on yoursolarquotes.com.au. In agreeing to the terms and conditions and the privacy policy, you understand and agree that in providing this service, Your Solar Quotes are able to forward your contact details onto third parties, such as solar companies – who will use your contact information in order to contact you directly.
Your Solar Quotes will also use and analyse the information we collect so that we can administer, support, improve and develop our business. If you choose to provide us with a review of our service or the goods and services you receive from one solar installer, we may store this review and post it to our website or forward an anonymous version of the review onto that solar installer for the purpose of improving that installer’s products or services. Further, in the future, we might also use your information to contact you directly to let you know about other products and services we offer which may be of interest to you. Do not call register
For the purposes of the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (if it applies) – by submitting your contact details, including your telephone number, via our quotation request form - you will have expressed or deemed consent to be contacted if required.
Disclosure of your information
In order to provide the products and services described on yoursolarquotes.com.au, Your Solar Quotes may disclose your personal information to third parties outside of Your Solar Quotes. We will always take steps to ensure that your information is used by third parties in accordance with this policy. We may also disclose personal information when we believe in good faith that the law requires disclosure. Further, if our business enters into a joint venture with or is sold to or merged with another business entity, your information may be disclosed to our new business partners or owners.
Optional finance referrals to Fundd
Our quote form asks whether you would like to explore solar finance options. If you answer yes, a consent statement is shown next to the submit button explaining that, by submitting, you consent to us passing your details to our finance partner, who may pay Your Solar Quotes a referral fee, and that Your Solar Quotes charges you nothing. Submitting the form with that option selected is your consent to the referral described in this section.
When you give that consent, Your Solar Quotes may share your name, email address, phone number and the purpose of your finance enquiry with our finance partner so it can contact you about finance for your project:

Requesting finance is optional. You can request solar quotes without selecting the finance option, and doing so does not affect your access to our quote comparison service. If you do not select the finance option, we do not share your details with Fundd.
Fundd is responsible for its own contact with you and for any credit assistance or finance services it provides. Once your information is shared with Fundd, Fundd handles it under its own privacy policy. Your Solar Quotes does not control Fundd's handling of your information after disclosure. You can contact Fundd to obtain its current credit guide and discuss how it handles your information.
We may receive a referral fee from Fundd only if a referred loan settles. This payment is made from Fundd's commission, not charged to you by Your Solar Quotes. Our Commercial Disclosure explains our referral role and commercial arrangements.
Withdrawing finance consent
You can withdraw your consent to a finance referral at any time by contacting admin@yoursolarquotes.com.au. We will stop any future finance referral based on that consent. Withdrawal does not undo a disclosure already made or prevent us from retaining records where required or permitted by law.
If your details have already been passed to Fundd, contact Fundd directly to withdraw permission for further contact or to exercise your privacy rights in relation to information it holds. Withdrawing finance consent does not cancel your separate solar quote request.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to support website functionality and security, understand how visitors use our website, and measure and improve our advertising. Cookies are small files stored on your browser or device. Tracking pixels allow information about website visits and activity to be sent to the provider of the pixel.
These technologies may collect technical and usage information, including your IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, referring website, cookie identifiers and actions taken on our website. We use this information to improve our website and understand how people find and use our services.
Meta Pixel

In addition to these measures, our employees and the contractors who provide services related to our information systems are obligated to respect the confidentiality of your personal information. Your Solar Quotes will not be held accountable for events arising from unauthorised access to your personal information.
Accessing and updating
