We chose the position of the Panels and the inverters to which Scott and the installer where happy with. Scott is very good with the knowledge of the products and very competitive with price. The install team were great. Minimal disruption to the power when terminating. Which of corse is expected. All panels where up and connected in one day. We had to wait for our power supplier to up grade all our meters to which was done in a couple of hours on a separate day after solar install. So far the system is working very well. So glad I went with Smart House Solar. Didn’t have to organize anything. Scott did it all. Easy communication by text, phone, or email.

They stated on their quote that they would match any written quote. We chose not to take advantage of this offer, as during the whole process they always answered any enquiries promptly and efficiently. We chose Smart House Solar because of the way all enquiries were efficiently and promptly dealt with. We felt they were more professional in the way they handled the lead up to and the instillation.
The instillation was carried out well within the day. we were out when they finished and energized the solar panels. We were pleasantly surprised with the neatness of the instillation, but more importantly. not a scrap of paper or electrical wiring etc. anywhere. Very professional, well done.

Would highly recommend a middle of the range system which I purchased but while it was only linked to the grid recently being one month after system installation I should advise potential customers living in the North Queensland region, to be prepared for a considerable wait time to allow for Ergon to do their job and simply change over the usage meter !!
Says something about lack of competition up in the Queensland tropics.

My salesman , " Max Marrison " was just great with matching a previous quote. The inverter is high quality , a Growatt which is the same brand of my old inverter which I had no problems with it in 8 yrs and still working the day they remove it. I order my 9.9 KW solar panels on a Friday and next Friday they were installed by the installers. They were here on time and the installation went smoothly without any problems. The installers removed my old solar system and disposed of it. The installers were great in explaining things to me and setting up the app on my iPhone and iPad. I have no hesitation in recommending a such a professional company. I am looking forward to say good bye to my high electric light bills.If you are seriously looking at purchasing solar panels look no fervour then Smart House Solar. Keep up the good work guys.

However, I decided to go ahead with Smart Solar system as my friend also was very happy with their job. The whole process went very smoothly. David , the sales manager knew their product and presentation was well done.
Installation was excellent by Jayesh and his team, very professional and on time. Handover was explained well, all arrangements with Energex and installation of meter went well no issues at all. System working great.

Very competitive on the prices for the Brands we selected. Gave options for cash payment or 24 month finance. Once contract was signed the Solar system was installed within 2weeks. Installation team was punctual, friendly and explained what they would be doing and double checked optimal panel placement. Job was done within the day and was extremely neat. All rubbish was removed and areas left tidy. Installation team assisted with setting up mobile phone app, for the inverter also.

I found SmartHouse online and telephoned them and found David to be helpful and informative without being pushy to close a sale. I paid my $100 deposit and within 48 hours David had set everything in place including a date for the install and everything was confirmed efficiently by email.
We live in a regional town and frankly the reliability of trades people is not that great here. When the day for install arrived I was sceptical that any one would turn up as I had not heard anything the day before to confirm and did not see it as my job to chase this up. But, the installers turned up at 8am as promised and immediately set to work. I desired a modification to the install, preferring to have the inverter inside rather than in the weather, and the installer happily agreed to this even constructing a wooden frame for mounting the inverter and doing additional wiring / cut-off switch at no additional charge. About 2 hours into the job, one of the installers received a phone call advising that a death had occurred in the close family, and she being visibly upset I had no issue in them rescheduling the job for another day. They however left one of the three workers to soldier on with the job which he did in hot temperatures. A couple of hours later the two other installers returned to the job and it was completed that day. It is a testament to their professionalism that they got the job done that day despite suffering a personal loss in their family.
The only thing I could not quite work out post install was how to get the Inverter App working on my phone, so I rang David and he organised for the Customer Satisfaction Manager (Pearl) at Smart House to give me a call and run through the process of getting the app working.Pearl asked if I would provide a review for the company which I was more than happy to do as everything had gone very smoothly from my perspective. I understand some Solar companies provide financial incentives for good reviews but Smart House would appear to get their excellent reviews by simply delivering on what they promise to do. This is a complex and competitive business involving many moving parts - ie equipment procurement and transportation to my regional area, dealing with government departments, finding reliable local installers - and Smart House got the job down on time and as promised. I can happily recommend this company to any one looking to get a solar install at a good value price

They came in at a solid 4.8 from 5 from over 600 reviews.
The sales staff were very courteous and always happy to move a little on price etc.
After paying a minimal deposit we were contacted by Smart House and given an installation date and the name and phone number of the Local installer.
The installer also had a great approval rating at 4.8 from 5.
The installation crew arrived at the agreed time and by 3.00 pm. we had a fully working Solar system.
I am an electrician by trade and the workmanship of the installation left nothing to be desired. The guys worked extremely hard on what was not an easy installation.
They showed an interest and pride in the work they were doing.
The site was left in a very clean condition and all rubbish removed from the premises.
We are now waiting for the meter to be exchanged for a digital meter and hopefully we can then start reaping the benefits.
All in all a very pleasant transaction.

A few roadblocks were encountered before the interface was established today after I had been working through the issue with Pearl over the past few days.
I was extremely pleased with the professionalism, patience and helpfulness shown by Pearl. While I might have been close to losing my cool at times, Pearl continued to attack the problem in a very cool and pleasant manner. Please allow me to say that she is a valuable employee of your company.

I configured the WiFi connection to the inverter with the aid of the supplied documentation. Less than an hour later I was contacted by Michell with the final invoice and paperwork. This time I took my time to do my research and after sifting through a number of companies I came across Smarthouse Solar. Straight away I was pleased with their attitude to quoting. They bent backwards to get me what I wanted for the cheapest possible price and were not pushy with the follow up (unlike other similar companies). Dealing with them was a breeze, and they were very good following up with some extras I was interested in. The whole experience was pleasant, and the install was super fast - within 2 weeks as opposed to others who could only do it in 2-3months time. Additionally, I believe that the quality of the product I bought is very good and excellent value for money. I would warmly recommend them to anyone contemplating solar.

Excellent communication with Scott. Expected my hot water system to be connected to solar too but Smarthouse said it wasn’t in the contract. Contractor said will have to charge extra. Was not happy about that as l felt that should have been disclosed when buying the solar. Scott handled it professionally and efficiently by going halves on the cost of the extra equipment -the timer- so was happy again.
I would recommend the company.
Make sure you seek clarification with hot water system.
The contractor came on time with the right product. Did not show me how to download the app and connecting it the system which made it dificult because it’s not that straightforward or easy.
But Overall for what l got 4.5/5stars

Harry then took over with the arranging the installation which went as expected and the crew were helpful and diligent with the install as promised. The panels are split between the north and south which is great as we continue getting power generation until the moment the sun sets, but Still have close to 5kw for 3 ½ hours in the middle of the day in August, so the power generation has far exceeded our expectations. Once installed, Mitchell helped with the payment and Even followed up with our energy provider when things had stalled, which was impressive. At all times, I felt they were all interested in making sure we got the best deal and that we were happy with the install. The app that comes with the inverter is easy to use and find myself checking it multiple times a day. Would recommend Smart Hi use Solar.

Tuesday 16th June, 2020Michael Campbell from QueenslandVery happy with the installed product and value for money, got bonus panels added to our deal and they all fitted on our roof despite us ordering and installing solar hot water in the meantime which meant some of the panels had to be re-arranged landscape for a minor additional fee ($100 for 4 panels landscape). Scott, Harry and Mitchell were all great to deal with, and a couple of administrative issues were sorted out with minimum of fuss. Install team had extra guys on to install because it was a large system (13.2 kW), turned up at 6:45 am and were done with everything symmetrically installed and wired to the grid by 2 pm. Already feeding the grid a minimum of 35 kWh/day on top of our usage - thanks Smart House Solar.
Update - had some trouble with a circuit breaker tripping (Suntree brand) over Christmas/New Year a couple of weeks after installation due to overheating when under full load, but this was replaced with quality Hagar circuit breaker fairly promptly - and Pearl did a great job given the time of year with installers on leave etc. Suggest that quality circuit breakers are installed the first time around (installer noted this was not the first time Suntree circuit breakers had been faulty).
