They were also very prompt in coming to replace my inverter and to do some necessary maintenance on my exisiting solar panels. Adam and his team from Solar Energy worked diligently to source our solar problem and also sourced our warranty and had a new system installed which is currently running well. We were thankful he was able to do this for us as our instalation company have folded and it was discovered that the panels and inverter supplied became faulty within their warranty period. He and his teams manner during this time of difficulty were second to none as they negotiated for us to receive new panels. I met Gareth from Home and Energy on a plane flight to Tassie for a mountain biking trip. Super nice guy and very knowledgeable. I got talking to him about Solar and then ended up taking his details. I did a reasonable amount of research and ultimately decided that Home and Energy were a good option based on reviews, the SolarEdge option I went with, and competitive pricing. Our system (10.5kW SolarEdge panels and inverter) is now installed and I couldn’t be happier. The whole experience was handled extremely professionally and seamlessly. We are producing more energy than we are using, and now just waiting for our retailer to upgrade the meter so we can feed in. The app that comes with SolarEdge for monitoring is great. It looks like there’s a reasonable chance we are going to go from a fairly nasty electricity bill to a net payment back to us. The points of difference that I appreciated were the great communication, proactive inclusion of a new hot water element to optimise the system performance, and the ongoing monitoring that Home and Energy offer – both to automatically flag any faults that may occur, and also to provide post system implementation advice on retailer choice.

As recent retirees from Melbourne now living in Peregian Springs, when we needed to install a solar system to cut down our electricity bills it was an absolute ‘no brainer ‘to trust in the team at Home and Energy servicing the Sunshine Coast. After lengthy research often being bamboozled by high-pressure solar spruikers, it was such a relief to find a local installer with great product knowledge delivering a high-quality installation. They were certainly not the cheapest quote ‘but in life, we all know you get what you pay for’. Our large system will pay itself off in 3 years and our Winter in August 2018 electricity monthly bill was only $42. We had warranty issues with our first solar installation and so went into our second solar project cautiously but Adam and his team exceeded our expectations and made it all too easy.
