GEM Energy were very professional and were very patient and informative with all the questions we had. They were very knowledgeable and able to answer questions other salesmen were clueless about. Install was very smooth and the guys were polite and friendly. Good brands and great service. No issues thus far - looking forward to the savings!

The entire process from start to finish was excellent. At each step, the GEM team were professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. Gareth (Sales), Sophie (Install Manager) and Greg and team (Installation), were extremely easy and pleasant to work with. Communication along the way was great as well. The finished product looks great and is working perfectly, without a single hiccup. GEM are also great value. In my case, the offer was so good, I was even encouraged to take it by a (very honest) competitor. I can't recommend them highly enough.

My experience with Gem Energy was very Professional. I did a lot of research and spent many hours deciding on what products ,company and cost effectiveness I could get for my money. Their simple planning made more sense,their previous backup of larger commercial installs also showed their here to stay, peace of mind these guys at Gem delivered is the forefront of the industry having many competitors in the market. I decided to get a quote from Gem Energy based on a recommendation from a friend of mine, who had installed solar a few months prior. I got a quote within hours from my first call and, from there on, always had reasonably quick replies to my queries via email. Since I had a specific budget in mind and a good idea of what that could get me, I started comparing the price, install reviews and the quality of the pre-sales service, with the quotes I got from another 5 companies. Gem was running an EOFY special at the time, and included an extra 2y warranty on the Sungrow inverter. With all that combined, I decided to go with them and do not regret it until now. I had my 6.6kw system installed within 5 weeks of going into contract. Installers showed up on time on the day of the install, and took me through the install process with details. The install looks nice from outside/inside the roof. I can't comment on the performance of the system yet, as it's still not ON. I am waiting on Origin to replace my current meter with a solar compatible one. Thanks Andrew, Sophie, Shunk and the team for a great customer service!

Gem Energy is a premium quality solar panel installation company for both residential and commercial solar. We had over 9kW of panels installed on our home roof, Canadian Solar panels with Fronius inverters and Fronius smart meter. Gem were efficient, handled the installation process professionally and every question I asked (and there were a lot) were answered diligently. The guys that came out to put the panels on our roof were respectful of our property, hard working and showed great attention to detail. It is worth noting that there are plenty of cheaper solar product alternatives in the marketplace. I would say you always get what you pay for. My solar panels have a minimum 25 year guarantee, and Gem are able to provide a 10 year guarantee on the Fronius inverters. Amazing. I love the fronius app where i can track in real time how much power my kettle or oven uses, and i can track exactly how much solar kWh I send to the grid. There are also power generation and consumption graphs on the app. My favourite though is working out how much money i am making/saving each day! Thoroughly recommend Gem Energy, Thankyou.

The 1st of 7 solar companies to get back to us. Garrett our sales agent was extremely thorough and answered all our 1000 questions and confirmed them with their engineering team. We had asbestos in the ceiling and while other companies threw caution to the wind, GEM Energy was always looking out for our safety and longevity of our system. They were surprisingly the cheapest quote for high end panels and we ended up going with the Sunpower Maxeon 3 as they provided higher long term returns over all the other mid/high range panels and also helped placed them further away from the shade as less panels were required. Sophie kept us in constant communication after the sale was made to ensure the installation etc went smoothly. They have internal installers and third-party installers. We went with third-party as they would be available sooner. While they did a great job installing the system they forgot to clean up afterwards (which they are meant to as part of their standard install) still they came out the next day once we notified them of the issue. We ended up with a 6.3kW system (due to the amount of trees around the house) with a 5kW inverter and by our choice (as new evidence shows there might not be worth while) no optimisers. Surprisingly the shade around the house barely touches the panels so on sunny days the system produces already over 30kWh in early spring. The 5kW inverter is capping the system at 5.1kW (though perhaps not too much is lost) so if you don't need that much power you might be worth while having less panels say 5.6kW with no shade to get a similar result or alternatively look into a higher inverter if you need more power. We got more panels as it looked like our house would be effected by shade so we assumed we would generate less than we are currently. However our installer and final configuration ended up missing most of the shade. At least it's future proofed.

Highly recommended! Gave us a very competitive quote and quick installation on our solar system. Garrett replied to our enquiry very promptly and spent the time to answer all of our questions and customise the system features to best match our needs. Sofia was very helpful in coordinating the installation and always kept us regularly updated. Shashank and his team did a great job of the installation. They didn't rush and placed all of the connections neatly and completely cleaned up after they were finished the job. Top job! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend GEM energy, thanks again!

We just installed a 10kW system / 8kW inverter on our residential property near Brisbane. After getting prices from a few local companies, a friend recommended GEM Energy. They offered one of the best prices together with a better quality system (Sunpower mono/Sungrow). The whole process was handled professionally from start to finish. Thank you Kristian (sales), Sofia (project manager), and Shunk who did a great job with the electrical installation. No surprises, no dodgy workmanship, no bait and switch. Quality outfit. I recently had a 6.6kw system installed and chose GEM as the supplier/installer. The entire process was easy with the Installation Manager Sophie M. communicating the process and timeline really effectively, and the install team lead by Jason S. were fantastic. The install looks amazing, and the quality of their work with attention to detail was great.

As a consumer I am sure you would be appreciate customer service before the goods being delivered to your door steps, regardless of the price. I had been dealing with lots of other suppliers either at work or the moment I purchased my new house and sourcing for solar panels. Multiple quotes sent to me, none of them bothered to call, as a courtesy follow up or asked what do I really want ( well obviously solar panels, but I meant different options of panels, inverters, with different prices and bunch of combinations to get the bang of your buck, especially when you are about to spend thousands of dollars ). I have to say GEM has got a good team of staff working to make things right, at least the feeling was already very good since the very beginning when the quotation sent through. Given that I have a big roof, doesn't mean you can fit in as many panels as planned, ( we really worked on the portrait mode, landscape mode, the set backs, the railing, I can assure you this is gonna a challenging thing if you have not done your research about PV ) The good thing is they walk you through the process, giving you combination of ideas/ pricing, until the installation is finished. Not to forget scheduling manager, quite a lot of communication even after the job has completed. TBH, There is a lot of 5 stars to give to GEM. Thanks guys!

We have been quite daunted by solar as it’s something we have never had before. Kristian was reassuring and helpful right from the start and put our minds at ease. He even helped tailor the look of our solar by suggesting black racking which is our style! Sofia was incredibly helpful and lovely to talk to throughout the install process. Steve was great on the day with the actual installation of our solar system. We highly recommend these guys to everyone!

We contacted Gem after a friend told us about their new solar system that Gem installed. The sales person was polite and factual and was happy to take the time to explain why he recommended certain components and how the system would work. After a quick google I found out that they also did Australia Zoo and the Brisbane convention center and that sealed the deal We chose Sunpower panels and a Fronius inverter and the system looks AWESOME. Sophie (the install manager kept me up to date through the process too) Would highly recommend 11/10

We have had solar before and never had such great service, such incredible results or been so excited to get our first electricity account. 21 days in, and we've generated over $56.00 in credits, with only a 7.8c/kw feed-in with Ergon and in the middle of winter, Kristian was incredibly knowledgable, kept us informed every step of the way and the installers in Bargara were friendly, clean, fast and so easy to deal with. Great experience with Gem Energy! Right from the beginning with Hayden who provided us with several quality options on the product size and scale to meet our solar requirements and budget for our new 2 storey home in Chermside. We opted for a 10Kw system to generate enough power to be self sufficient and this more than covers our usage along with credits back from our feed in tarrif. The system itself is top quality and looks amazing on the roof with the all black solar panels and very quiet inverter located internally in our garage. Jodie has been fantastic coordinating the installation and after sales / commissioning service, the installers (Rob to mention one) have been top notch and we couldn't be happier with the whole process, professionalism and finished result! We highly recommend Gem Energy.

Gem energy was very professional and I was impressed with the customer service from start to finish. The installation team and electrician were friendly, professional and prompt with the installation and kept me updated. The installation manager was also very professional and organised the installation in a timely manner. I was pleased on how all the paperwork was all efficiently done and I didnt even need to do anything from my side. The whole team is reliable, professional, efficient and overall I was very impressed with the whole process.

I have quite and unpredictable schedule which is often hard to work around the team a GEM energy were tremendous in their communication and professionalism, I was most impressed.

Before I sat with approximately 8-10 different companies, I researched all I could regarding solar for approximately 6 weeks. I wasn't parting with anywhere between $9-12,000 without having a good understanding of solar and the pitfalls of others. Every company had varying levels of subject matter knowledge and sales tactics. Anyway, after careful consideration (I had three good options), I opted for GEM Energy, not only on the basis they are a trusted commercial installer (Australia Zoo), they provided me with realistic expectations and a value for money system. For an 8.3kW Sunpower (21 x 395w panels) System and Fronius Inverter they were well priced and within my budget. They were not the cheapest by a long way, nor the most expensive! The process from signing on the dotted line to installation was seamless. The install itself was a breeze and by the end of the day, you would not have thought a team of three where at the house. GEM Energy has its own team of dedicated installers and trusted contractors and the guys I dealt with, during the install, were amazingly passionate and the quality of the workmanship looks tremendous. I now wait for the energy company to configure the meter before I can reap the benefits. A huge thanks to Sofia at GEM Energy and the Install Team :-)

Very happy with the end product and the efficency of the service. My only concern was for the installers who carried the 20 panels two floors up on a ladder. Perhaps a scissor lift who be safer and quicker ?

Good company. Always willing to help. Rob and Jake are exceptionally good at what they do. Would recommend if you are looking at solar. You wont be disappointed. I changed my mind quite a few times and it was never an issue for Jake. He stepped me through each option and I never felt pressured into anything.

Dave and the team were amazing, support team even helped me set up the ap. Amazing communication throughout the whole process. Just got my first bill which was for 121 days supply through winter, so it should've been well over $900. So excited to open my mail only $370 :) Couldn't believe it, we are rural so run a lot of pumps etc Solar all the way!!!

When Jayden and his team arrived for the installation, instead of taking the easy route they went above and beyond to ensure the conduit was hidden which added an extra few hours onto the job for them. From the start of my research, Vincent was fantastic in providing quick quotes on prices and options that were easy to understand and helpful in making a decision. Once I made my deposit, Jordan was nothing short of exceptional, helping me to get things organized at every turn. Shes still helping me even upon install completion with firmware updates and providing me with any information I require. Jayden and the GEM install team were punctual, professional and very easy to deal with during the install. I cant say enough good things about Jordan, Vincent or Jayden. I am an extremely happy customer and wouldn't go with anyone else for a solar install!!
